Episcopal Charities' Program Sustainability Institute offers a series of trainings and workshops for parish-based and parish-supported outreach programs in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. These sessions are aimed at helping programs achieve maximum operational success and sustainability. Rectors and priests-in-charge, program directors, volunteers - anyone overseeing or involved with the operations of a program - are invited to participate. Workshop leaders will be experienced directors of parish-based outreach programs who will navigate participants through the singular challenges and opportunities of faith-based outreach ministry.
For recipients of all Episcopal Charities Basic Human Needs and Youth Opportunity grants, the program director is required to attend workshops*. All outreach program staff and volunteers in the diocese are invited to sign up.
Each workshop is offered on Saturday mornings, from 10am-1pm, both in Manhattan at in Diocesan House on the Cathedral grounds (1047 Amsterdam Ave.), and in Poughkeepsie at Christ Church (20 Carroll Street - Academy and Barclay Street).
Registration for each workshop opens a month before the first date listed. To register, go to the Diocesan Calendar and click on the date you wish to attend, then follow the directions.
