At its April, 2008 meeting, the Board of Directors of Episcopal Charities approved the implementation of a number of initiatives aimed at providing the congregationally-based outreach programs it funds with the technical assistance and computer technology needed to succeed.
A growing number of programs have indicated a wish to maintain their demographic and financial records using computer technology and software. In addition, an increasing number of funders are demanding grantee reports be submitted online — which many of our programs are not currently equipped to do. The financial reserves necessary for a conversion to technological recordkeeping and reporting are, in many cases, simply unavailable.
This Program Technology Initiative is aimed at assisting these programs with the technological knowledge, software and equipment needed to successfully upgrade their recordkeeping capabilities. In order to make the best use of our resources as we realize this initiative, we are seeking the input of our current grantees to determine the levels of need and capabilities among our programs. Please review the enclosed survey, and send your responses back to Episcopal Charities at your earliest convenience. The survey is available to download above, and may be downloaded, completed and returned via email to ddambrot@dioceseny.org. We hope to receive your replies by June 30, 2008 so that we may move forward as quickly as possible to assist you in your program operations.
Thank you for your participation, and may God richly bless your work.

Associate Director
