Episcopal Charities, the outreach arm of the Diocese of New York, provides funding and support to parish-based programs serving children and adults in need on a non-sectarian basis.

Episcopal Charities' grants program includes the following:

• Grants for Basic Human Needs, providing support for a wide range of programs
• Youth Opportunity Grants, which allocates funds to programs serving disadvantaged youth
• Collaborative Outreach Fund awards, which provide three-year grants to collaborative efforts in the areas of feeding, prison re-entry and immigrant services

Each year Episcopal Charities offers a range of educational and training opportunities to all outreach programs in the Diocese, whether or not they receive an Episcopal Charities grant.

These opportunities leverage the accumulated wisdom and experience of program leaders and professionals from throughout the Diocese, who share their knowledge with colleagues in similar programs, and also of external experts in the program and service areas that Episcopal Charities supports. learn more >

With only a small endowment, Episcopal Charities must annually raise more than 80% of its revenue from donors.
