Go-St. Luke's developed in response to the educational needs of low-income children in Lower Manhattan. The mission of the program is to nurture the love of learning, one child at a time. Students from six to eleven years old who are falling behind in the New York public and parochial school systems receive one-on-one tutoring in reading, mathematics, language arts and test-taking skills. The program has also introduced Go-St. Luke's Summer, a month-long summer day camp incorporating daily one-on-one tutoring, creative dramatics and recreational activities.
