Sullivan Youth Leadership Development Institute 

The Sullivan Youth Leadership Development Institute reaches out to middle school age children in the Monticello, Liberty and South Fallsburg school districts. The program helps young people to develop leadership skills that help them to become creative and productive members of society. Participants watch movies related to social justice issues and leaders assist the group in taking a stand when the youth express a concern with an aspect of their life (e.g. the lay off of teachers at their school). In a structured environment, the youth learn that they have power to shape their world and ultimately to attain their goals in life.
