St. Bartholomew's Church has offered professional social services since 1888.  Current pantry, soup kitchen, and shelter programs were established in the 1980's.  In 2011 the soup kitchen offered over 67,000 meals and the pantry provided groceries to families estimated to make more than 70,000 meals.  Crossroads Community Services, Inc. was formed to help the church manage these important outreach programs.  The mission of CCSI is to provide food, shelter, and support to help hungry and homeless New Yorkers break out of the cycle of poverty.
