Manhattan North Interparish Council
Summer Educational Project 

The Manhattan North Summer Educational Project has been in existence for more than 30 years. The program works to provide educational opportunities for elementary school children from Harlem who are scheduled to be "left back" because of poor grades. Working closely with the school system, students enrolled receive intensified training and more than half of their fifty students move on to the next grade level. In addition to learning, students participate in sport activities and field trips to experience the world beyond Harlem.
