Begun in 1982, Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen (HASK) has grown to serve over 333,000 meals in 2011. HASK's mission is to feed the hungry, to comfort the afflicted, to see justice for the homeless and to counsel and provide a sense of hope and opportunity to those in need. Aside from food, HASK provides counseling services which offer referrals to shelters, pastoral care, information on food pantries, identification cards, and assistance with obtaining public benefits. HASK also provides personal hygiene assistance, including the provision of soap, toothpaste, razors, and referrals to showers and haircuts.
