The Summer Camp of the Haitian Congregation of the Good Samaritan was begun in 1972, when the congregation was established. In light of the January 2010 earthquake that devastated the country of Haiti and deeply affected members of the congregation, this year's program (as always, a "sleep-away" camp) will include not only recreational activities but also therapeutic activities. The camp provides a great way for youth to learn about both American and Haitian culture through direct interaction with their peers.
