The Food Programs at Calvary-St. George's Church are a vital and long-standing element of the parish's outreach into the broader community and have recently become joined the NYC Coalition Against Hunger. About 100 men, women and children visit the pantry each week for a bag of non-perishable food to help them get through a weekend, when many weekday feeding programs are not available. The Soup Kitchen provides a hot lunch to an average of 115 people every Thursday afternoon. Tons of food are provided each year with aid from Partnership for the Homeless and the Emergency Food Assistance Program.
